Blend of Herbs & Flower Essences for Immune System

Ingredients: Aqua, Ethanol 25%, Echinacea, Astragalus, Sambucus Nigra, Illawara Flame Tree and Prickly Pear Cactus.

Echinacea is a popular herb for a variety of applications including the common cold, coughs, flu, infections and wound-healing. It is considered an adaptogen and is known to stimulate T-cells and activates macrophages that destroy foreign intracellular invaders. It is known that echinacea has shown efficacy in some clinical studies to prevent infections from viruses and microbial pathogens. Taken orally, it is also used as an antiseptic, antiviral, and immune stimulant.

Elderberry has a long history of use by Native Americans who made tea from the elderberry flower to help support respiratory issues. Elderberry contains vitamins A and C, as well as anthocyanins, the potent free radical scavengers. The berry outranks the likes of blueberries, cranberries, goji berries, and blackberries in total flavonoid content, that has antioxidant properties and may help prevent damage to the body’s cells.

Astragalus: Used in China for thousands of years, astragalus is an adaptogenic herb with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Recent Chinese research also suggests that it may be an antioxidant as well. Research confirms that astragalus has immune stimulating properties and suggests that it may also ease infection-related inflammation. Astragalus directly stimulates macrophage activity, promotes dendritic cell maturation, and significantly reduces interleukin-6 production.
